I recently joined Project Shut Up and Relax project series. I have always loved ceramics but have always found finding the right information so overwhelming.

Tracy has made the process of learning how to make your own hand built ceramic pieces so simple, enjoyable and fun. I highly recommend this course!

Introduction to Clay

My introduction to clay lesson will introduce you to helpful tools to use for handbuilding, how to cut a slab, health and safety advice in your workspace & easy, follow-along videos to coach you through making each of the three pieces.

Your pinch bowl, small platter & spoon will be the first of your future self's collection!

Pinch Pots

Ageing back to ancient times, pinch pots are one of the most simple and timeless pieces for a beginner potter to make. Pinching will be the first technique we teach in this lesson.

Slab Platters

Let your creativity start to shine through with your second piece of this lesson; a slab platter. Here, you can play around with designs and patterns on the surface of your platter.

Tea Spoons

Functional and fabulous! In our third and final piece of this lesson, we'll teach you joining and rolling techniques to help you in making a spoon. The perfect spoon to eat ice-cream with, may we add.
